Week 5!

Well I am into the 5th week and it has been interesting so far. It certainly has opened my eyes to the clothes in my closet that I never wear for one reason or another that will probably be worn before the year is over. I was going to do a theme week like- Skirt week or a certain color week, but that might be to much for me this soon in the game. So here I go....

3-21-11 3-22-11

Monday:

Hello 70's. This skirt was given to me several years ago so I pulled it out and paired with my thrift brown boots and orange belt! Sweater and cream turtle neck finished the ensemble.

Tuesday:

Skirt number two. Red plaid I got from a $10 fill a bag-which was awesome, black tights, top and my red cardigan. Tuesday's seem to be my less creative blah days for some reason. It was comfy though...

3-23-11 3-24-11

Wednesday:

Yay for spring! I pulled out a fuschia tank and paired it with my robin's egg blue cardigan. Black pants and kittens finished this outfit.

Thursday:

Repeat of Saturday's outfit last week. I did get a few compliments on it though, they included: "Oh you did your hair like Princess Leia" (ya I work with a bunch of engineers so.. there you go). "You look dapper today. Like Bonnie and Clyde". I wonder what my co-workers think the other days. All in all it worked out a second time around.

3-25-11

Friday:

Yay for Friday!! I woke up with that horrible song "It's Friday, Friday" from that girl on YouTube in my head. Anyways. Dark wash jeans, red wedges, a navy tank and my favorite mustard cardigan. I wore my Ukraine Brooch and my blue beaded necklace I got from thrifting.

It was the first five day work week I have worked in a long time and I was looking forward to the relaxing weekend of hanging with Hubby and with Krista and friends for her birthday. Till next week. :)

Week 3 and 4 ish

So I did a stupid thing and deleted my photos of the third week to make room for pictures of my brother coming home. Which I only took a few precious ones, so I have just have a couple of photos to show of the last 2 weeks.

3-10-11

Thursday:

Last day of my week and the only picture I have of that week. It entailed my red cardigan belted at the waist over a mustard, high neck blouse- which I got for $3 thrifting. Dark wash slim jeans ($8) and my thrift boots.

3-16-11 3-17-11

Wednesday:

This outfit was all gotten on my birthday thrift trip- mostly from a Plato's in Tampa. The dress pants were from this awesome consignment store in Tampa, whose name I can't remember. Black & grey tweed pants with a black 3/4 sleeve blouse and a long white vest.

Thursday:

Yay for the last day of the week! I celebrated by wearing some fun dark washed wide leg pants, my fave grey T covered by a black, short sleeved jacket and belt I confiscated from my Oma. :)

Friday was a great day at the Sewing Expo with the girls! (KJ and JR) I didn't feel it necessary to take a pic of my outfit because it was comfy jeans and a black T. The Expo was chock full of delicious fabric. Buying fabric wasn't necessarily included in my challenge so I bought some. Over a yard and a half of dark sturdy denim for $1.50 and some other lovely fabric. Yay!!

3-19-11

Saturday:

Wedding day for my dear friend Laura and I wanted to wear something new. I pulled out the denim I bought yesterday and with 4 hours till I need to leave for the wedding. I measured (kind of), cut, sewed, ripped, sewed again, inserted a zipper, ripped it out, sewed it back in again and so on. Thirty minutes till I absolutely need to leave and I am putting on the skirt yet again. So after all that I finally finished my skirt and composed the outfit for the wedding. Complete with my pin stripe jacket I got thrifting, a black cami that was given to me, the red belt I got for 50 cents and my birtday wedges. The wedding was great by the way! :)

All in all I certainly enjoyed my short week!!

2nd Week

I made it through my second week farely unscathed by wanting something new to wear. This week was a short work week which are my favorite! Who doesn't love a 4-day work week! So here we go!

2-27-11 - Sunday 2-28-11 - Monday

Day 5 - Sunday:

So I thought I would start off with the actual first day of the week- My Sunday Best! Usually if I am not at work it's guaranteed I am wearing jeans of some sort. Here I am with a pair of slim jeans I picked up a thrifting wearing my mustard cardigan and black shirt combo ala day 1 and my red wedges my dear mum got me for my birthday!

Day 6 - Monday

Pulled out a skirt I made and hadn't worn in forever with my black tights and heels from day 1; black cardigan over a gray top w/ black cami pulled together with a thin belt and my pearls. It's a monday and certainly felt like it!

3-1-11 - Tuesday 3-2-11 - Wednesday

Day 7 - Tuesday:

So I forgot to take a pic after work, but it was a slightly booring outfit. This is what I wore for Bible study. I wore the top portion for work with some dress pants. Red cardigan and black top that you will see quite often as well as the mustard one. Sorry they are my favorite. Some jeans and my sweater boots to finish my ensemble!

Day 8 - Wednesday:

BROWNS TODAY! I haven't worn these in awhile. Oh the things I find when I go thru my closet. These brown pants I thought went nicely with this vest and cream color 3/4 turtleneck. The vest was given to me oh 2 yrs ago and I hadn't worn it ever. All worn with little brown kittens!

3-3-11 - Thursday

Yay! Last day of the work week! And here is the mustard cardigan again! I really love it as a buttoned sweater more than unbuttoned! I wore it with a grey t-shirt from halloween that's one of my favorites and the small belt from Monday. Dark wash nice looking jeans for my Thursday-Friday (what I call my 4-day work week Thursdays) and red flats. Accessorized by my scarf to cover any t-shirt signs.

So ends week 2 and I thought it went well. :)
